Plushenko is the Snow King

Snow King is a highly acclaimed extravaganza based on the Hans Christian Anderson fairytale, The Snow Queen. The show is being presented to Russian audiences by Olympic and World medalist, Evgeny Plushenko.

The enchanting ice production uses the creative genius of the Safronovs famous for their incredible illusions that challenge the world of impossibility. The brothers create magic with flying chariots and skaters and take people of all ages to points beyond their wildest imaginations.

Evgeny Plushenko takes the lead role of Snow King, with a supporting cast that includes Olympians Brian Joubert, Johnny Weir, Tomas Verner, Irina Slutskaya and a team of over 220 people.

The amazing costumes are the work of famous Russian designer, Igor Gulyaev.

The staff, which includes, music producer and Plushenko’s wife, Yana Rudkovskaya, spared no cost ($4M estimate) in the massive production.

The show made its debut in Moscow, December 5-13, 2014 and will be performed in St. Petersburg January 3-7, 2015.

Johnny Weir @JohnnyGWeir recently posted on his Twitter account: “Many people are wishing for ‘The Snow King’ in their countries, and mine in particular! We are hoping to bring the show worldwide, soon!”
