Disson Skating’s television production was taped in Bloomington, IL on December 16, 2014. Headliners were Olympic gold medalists, Meryl Davis+Charlie White along with DWTS performers, Maksim Chmerkovskiy and Sharna Burgess. The performers guided the enthusiastic audience on a journey of dance through the ages.

The skating cast also included 2002 Olympic gold medalists Marina Anissina and Gwendal Peizerat, 2006 Olympic silver medalists Tanith Belbin and Ben Agosto, two-time World silver medalists Marie-France Dubreuil and Patrice Lauzon, seven-time British champions Sinead and John Kerr, five-time U.S. champions Naomi Lang and Peter Tchernyshev, two-time U.S. bronze medalists Kim Navarro and Brent Bommentre and new Israeli dance team Isabella Tobias and Ilya Tkachenko. The cast was rounded out by 2011 U.S. singles champion Ryan Bradley and two-time U.S. medalist Joel Dear.

The additional TV dancers were Dmitry Chaplin, Chelsie Hightower and Louis van Amstel. Tony Dovolani, DWTS, assisted with the dance production.

In the opening number Brent Bommentre, Ryan Bradley, and Joel Dear skated to a program choreographed by Edward Villella, America’s most celebrated male ballet dancer of his time. He appeared on stage at the end.

The show was divided into segments as couples performed on stage and ice to popular dance styles including the Tango, Blues, Jive, Waltz, and Quickstep.

Stage highlights included two couples from the 18th season of DWTS. Meryl Davis and Maksim Chmerkovsiy performed their sultry Tango that won the coveted Mirror Ball Trophy. Charlie White and Sharna Burgess danced a Jive number as the skating cast performed on ice.

Bella Thorne performed her debut single, “Call It Whatever“.
