Olympic gold medalist Yu-Na Kim has split with her coach Brian Orser.

According to AT Sports, Kim has been training alone since June after she developed an “uncomfortable relationship” after another skater started to work with Orser.

IMG says Kim’s mother, Park Mi-hee, and an AT Sports rep informed Orser on August 2 that “he would no longer be retained” to coach Kim. Meanwhile, AT Sports is saying Orser suggested to Kim on August 23 to end their ties.

While under Orser’s guidance since 2006, Kim became the first South Korean figure skater to win Olympic gold.

Kim continues to train at the Cricket Club in Toronto.
