Skate Canada debuts new logo

Skate Canada has debuted their new logo. The new logo maintains the red maple leaf and skating blade, but has a modern look.

“We wanted to update our image and have a logo that had stronger application in today’s digital world,” said William Thompson, CEO Skate Canada. “This new approach gives a much more vibrant feel to the logo, and reflects both the athleticism and artistry that is our sport. It also has a natural movement to it, which works well on our websites and electronic applications.”

Skate Canada will gradually roll out the new logo across the country as the various Sections begin to adopt the imagery. All Skate Canada programs, from the CanSkate program to AdultSkate will have updated logos as well.

What do you think of the new logo? I like it and agree that it has a modern edge to it and you can feel the natural movement flowing from the blade. Well done Skate Canada.

About Us

Skate Today was created in November 2004 to showcase the people of the skating world, skaters and coaches and others, who make figure skating and ice dancing a pleasure to watch for fans from around the world. The goal was to create a site that would give viewers an insight into the personalities of the people involved in this sport and to give you a more personal connection when watching them live at an event or on the television. Our staff knows how much time and dedication is put into this sport and that's why Skate Today was created.
