Davis and White win Ramsay Trophy

Olympic silver ice dance medalists Meryl David and Charlie White were presented with the Ramsay Trophy for their silver medal achievements at the 2010 Olympic Winter Games in Vancouver and the World Championships in Torino. The team also won the 2009 & 2010 U.S. Figure Skating Championships.

Davis and White currently train at the Artic Figure Skating Club in Canton with Igor Shpilband and Marina Zoueva.

The Detroit Skating Club has presented the Doug Ramsay Trophy to figure skaters since 1961. The award is named after Doug Ramsay, 1960 U.S. Junior Champion, who was killed in a horrific plane crash in 1961 along with the entire U.S. Figure Skating world team en route to the World Championships.

We agree these two are very deserving of the award. Congratulations on your incredible season.

About Us

Skate Today was created in November 2004 to showcase the people of the skating world, skaters and coaches and others, who make figure skating and ice dancing a pleasure to watch for fans from around the world. The goal was to create a site that would give viewers an insight into the personalities of the people involved in this sport and to give you a more personal connection when watching them live at an event or on the television. Our staff knows how much time and dedication is put into this sport and that's why Skate Today was created.
